Aww, I don’t see much wrong with them freaking out. Sorry, that sounds really condescending. I just mean that the show has kinda sledge hammered the fact that Aang and Katara had a long happy life together with loads of kids. Plus the Nick game saying Katara desperately misses Aang and that Zuko had kids Mai (probably) it must be a bit hard to take if you’re a hardcore Zutara fan.
So maybe this is a bit of silver lining of the sandwich? I dunno really know how… Zuko’s wife is still probably alive. Oh, and Katara’s still terribly in love with Aang.

How the vast majority of people tend to reproduce…sex.
People really need to get over the idea that they are all celibate. The Air Nomads are not Christian monks. They clearly can have sex otherwise there wouldn’t 4 temples fully populated. Seriously.
Only a select few monks ever detached themselves from the world and thus gave up physical relationships. The vast majority of them had just as much sex as anyone in the Avatar world.
I don’t this so, the time span is one week (yes, all this shit happens in just one week) so I doubt anyone will be getting married just this second.

The Creators: “I know in the fandom maybe this isn’t everyone’s favourite couple, but to me it’s really sweet, they grew up together and they’ve had a crush on each other since they were little kids. And really horrible stuff happened to Zuko and their country was doing some horrible things. But I think it’s really cool that once these external conflicts were out of the way, Zuko and Mai were finally able to really be together.
How I feel about this character: I fucking love Mai. No, really, I do. The gurl is a fucking fantastic character. Is she good? Is she bad? No bitches, she’s bloody morally ambigous and you’re just gonna have to deal with it. She wants to fuck Prince Zuko and that’s about the main thing we’re certain of. I’m totally cool with that.
All the people I ship with this character romantically: Ah, Mai. If you had never loved Zuko a lot of people would not have hated you. You would have been the sassy and sarcastic lady who has really good aim. Instead you get hated because you’re tapping that royal ass. No worries, it’s not like you give a fuck.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Mai/Ty Lee. She kinda sorta wants to stab Ty Lee, but at the same she can’t help but let a smile slip cause Ty Lee’s such an endearing peppy dork. Oh, and Ty Lee saves her life. That’s nice.
My unpopular opinion for this character: If you hate Mai chances are I won’t like you. Now lemme justify this sentence. Mine and Mai’s personality are really quite similar. We’re both incredibly sarcastic, often find it quite hard to give a fuck and would rather deal with problems with dry apathy. When people attack Mai for being dull all I can think is no, sit down, not everyone has to be like Katara and Ty Lee.
One thing I wish would have happened: Mai had broken the fourth wall and said “I’m fucking Prince Zuko, I’m sorry but it’s true.”
