No, I don’t think Zuko and Toph are involved at all. 

It would make absolutely no sense and would complicate things ridiculously in terms of storyline. It also becomes a bit iffy when all of the characters are somehow related to the previous generation. 

I’m not hating on Toko or anything. It’s just there are plenty of other Earthbenders and Firebenders that could have fallen in lurve and had a lovely multicultural family.

No that’s just fan conjecture. 

My guess is that while Mako does kinda look like Zuko, he comes from an mixed culture family as his brother is an Earthbender and that makes it very unlikely he is a royal descendant. So I would make an educated guess and say no, Mako isn’t related to Zuko or Mai.
