Yer, the only trouble with that parallel is the life expectancy in Avatar is a lot higher than it was in the industrial age. So the whole having kids early parallel doesn’t quite add up. 

But tbh my logic was that they are just two very attractive people who spend a lot of time alone and have ridiculous amounts of energy. They are gonna be having a lot of sex no matter the historical period.
