I’m certain that Mako, Korra, Bolin and Asami will interact over the course of the new series. But we know for a fact that Korra will be in the Spirit World for a lot of time, a place none of those characters can get to easily. Combined with the fact that Mako, Asami and Bolin are all off doing completely their own thing really leaves me struggling to see how they are going to be an actual Team. 

Personally, I don’t think they are going to be. I think the series is going to depart from the normal convention of following around a main group of characters who are friends, and instead focus on more individual storylines that overlap heavily. They will all be friends, but I struggle to see how they could come close to the kind of intimacy the original Team Avatar had.
